Al-Sadr: Targeting the headquarters of parties loyal to the majority government is not acceptable to the mind

Muqtada al-Sadr accused; Political forces objecting to the recent parliamentary elections, by "standing behind attacks" targeting party offices in the capital, Baghdad and Kirkuk.

Al-Sadr said in a tweet on Twitter: "Some political forces objecting to the elections (he did not name them) resorted to the Iraqi judiciary, and we did not issue a comment regarding this, as it is a legal matter available to everyone."

Although al-Sadr did not mention these forces, his words meant the "coordinating framework" that includes political forces and Shiite factions.

Al-Sadr added, "As for some of those affiliated with them to resort to violence and target the headquarters of parties loyal to the majority government, this is not acceptable to Sharia and law."

He continued, "The wise among them should hurry to stop the extremism of these mob groups and curb them. It is not logical for a politician to resort to violence if it does not get what it wants."

He called on the Iraqi government, "to take the most severe security measures and expedite the detection of its perpetrators".
