The Karkh Court of Investigation issued an arrest warrant for Hoshyar Zebari on Tuesday on charges of insulting the Iraqi Federal Supreme Court.

The Karkh Investigation Court issued an arrest warrant for Hoshyar Zebari on Tuesday based on a complaint filed by the legal representative of the Federal Supreme Court on charges of repeatedly insulting the judiciary.

Added that Zebari criticized the decisions of the Iraqi judiciary, especially the Federal Supreme Court, on several occasions.

It is worth mentioning that Hoshyar Zebari was previously the candidate of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) for the post of president of Iraq, but on February 13 (February / 2) the Federal Court ruled that Hoshyar Zebari can not run for the post.
