Portugal has reported 19 new cases of monkeypox, bringing the total to 119 in the country, which is considered one of the main epicenters of the disease.
All cases are mild and are among men under the age of 40, the health ministry said.
Portugal, Spain, and the UK have also reported the highest number of cases of monkeypox, while the disease is mainly concentrated in West and Central Africa.
Meanwhile, Spain reported 12 new cases on Monday, bringing the total to 123 cases.
Reuters quoted health officials as saying cases in Portugal were still being investigated, but all infected were in stable condition and no one had been taken to hospital.
