A 4-year-old child has died of diarrhea and vomiting in Sulaimani, the director of Jamal Ahmad Rashid Children's Hospital said.
Dr. Pishdar Abdullah, director of Jamal Ahmad Rashid Children's Hospital in Sulaimani, said that the incidence of diarrhea and vomiting in children has decreased in recent days, but now has returned to the initial level of the disease and infection is still high.
"A 3- to 4-year-old child died of diarrhea, vomiting, and dehydration in recent days," he said.
"The child's relatives had given him herbal medicine, and it is still unknown whether the death was directly caused by the herbal medicine or due to late arrival at the hospital. We have these cases every year," he said.
According to the statistics of the General Directorate of Health in Sulaimani, about 600 people go to hospitals in Sulaimani within 24 hours to receive treatment for diarrhea and vomiting.
