Salahaddin Mohammed Bahaaddin, Secretary-General of the Kurdistan Islamic Union (KIU) in Sulaimani on Monday 27-6-2022 in a meeting with some members of the Executive Council, leadership, and Shura council highlighted the latest developments in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.

Secretary-General of the KIU stressed that the KIU should serve Kurdish society in a balanced manner, protect the identity of our people, preserve unity, resolve political conflicts and overcome political problems.

He also said: The KIU should work more seriously on the strategy determined at this stage, which is to give priority to the internal and strengthening organizations and social reform, and stressed that our parliamentarians, organizations, youth, students and organizations should play a legal and popular role.

He pointed to the rumors of changing the curriculum and removing the subject of Islamic education from the curriculum and said: This issue is dangerous to the religious identity of our people and is unacceptable.
