Iraqi Foreign Minister says "Erbil and Baghdad have not reached a final agreement and Turkey is ready to resume oil exports".
Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein said in an exclusive interview with Al-Monitor, "Turkey is ready to resume oil exports and will visit Ankara next month, although Erbil and Baghdad have not reached a final agreement".
"The remaining disputes are related to some issues with the contracts signed with Kurdistan and the contracts signed with other parts of Iraq," he said.
"There are various contracts, those related to oil production, contracts with companies that transport oil through pipelines, and contracts with companies that buy oil or have actually bought it," he said.
"All this is very complicated. The Iraqi government and the Kurdistan Regional Government need to reach an agreement on how to deal with all these companies and how to deal with all these contracts and the possibility of restructuring them" he said.
