Ahmad Sharaa said the Kurdish forces would be part of the Syrian Defense Ministry and would negotiate with the Syrian Democratic Forces.

Syrian military operations commander Ahmad Sharaa told Al-Arabiya channel: The Kurds are an integral part of Syria's communities and are negotiating with SDF on the issue of northeastern Syria.

He added that they will not allow the PKK to use Syria as a platform for its attacks, he said, adding that they will not allow division and federalism in Syria.

He also hoped that the next US administration would not continue its previous policy and lift sanctions against Syria.

On the future of Russian bases and forces on his territory, Sharaa said Syria has strategic interests with Russia and does not want the country to leave in a way that is not worthy of their relations with Syria.

On the future of relations with Iran, Sharaa said they expect positive statements from the country and call on it to reconsider its regional policies.
