Three US soldiers were killed and wounded in the Hamrin Mountains, the US Central Command said.

On Tuesday, January 7, 2025, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that a member of the international coalition against ISIS was killed in an operation in Iraq last week.

The US Central Command said in a statement On December 30, 2024, and November 6, 2025, the International Coalition Forces (ICF) conducted a joint operation with Iraqi security forces against ISIL terrorists in the Hamrin Mountains.

It added that one member of the international coalition forces was killed and two others were wounded in the operation.
