The Iraqi Parliament voted on the three controversial laws and adjourned its session to another date.
On Tuesday, the Iraqi Parliament completed voting on the three controversial laws (Personal Status, General Amnesty, and Returning Real Estate to their Owners Included in Some Revolutionary Command Council Decisions).
Parliament stated that "the vote was held on the proposed Personal Status Law No. 188 of 1959".
The statement added that the vote was held on "the draft law to return the real estate to its owners included in some decisions of the (dissolved) Revolutionary Command Council".
It added, "The Parliament is voting on the draft law to amend the second amendment to the General Amnesty Law No. 27 of 2016".
The vote on these laws came after difficult labor and disagreements that lasted for months and led to the cancellation of many sessions due to quarrels and arguments about them.
