Iraqi National Security Agency said twenty-two people were arrested on charges of promoting the dissolved Ba'athist party.
Thursday, March 13, 2025 - The Iraqi National Security Agency (INSA) said in a statement Iraqi National Security Agency (INSA) has arrested 22 suspects in different provinces for promoting the ideology of the banned Ba'athist party.
It is also mentioned that the arrests were based on sound intelligence and ongoing field investigations, and after obtaining the necessary judge approval.
It added that the suspects were arrested under Articles 8 and 9 of the Ba'ath Party Prohibition Law.
It added that they continue to enforce the law with the aim of maintaining social peace and upholding the principles of the Constitution.
