Paper is being removed from transactions and electronic transactions are being relied upon instead.
The Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq (CBI) Ali Alaq said on Saturday said the government is working on an appropriate roadmap to increase the number of transactions electronically.
He added that the central bank has a comprehensive plan to put transactions in an electronic framework and rely less on the use of paper, so that last year we reduced the use of paper in our transactions by 50%.
He revealed that they will soon completely remove the paper from their transactions and implement electronic replacements, and all ministries and government institutions should pay attention to this step.
