Three months after her disappearance, the body of a Kurdish girl has been found in Canada, Windsor police said investigators had no suspicion of the cause of death.

Police in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, said: On January 7, 2025, we received the news of the disappearance of a girl. After investigations and nearly three months after the incident, the girl's body has been found and investigators have no doubts about the cause of her death.

It added: The girl's name is Shilana. She is 26 and from Sinaa, East Kurdistan. She moved to Canada as a refugee and worked in a hairdresser's salon.
