The US Defense Department says attacks on US troops in Iraq and Syria have stopped since the ceasefire was announced.
The US Department of Defense (Pentagon) said: "Attacks on US troops in Iraq and Syria have stopped after Israel's ceasefire with Hamas came into effect.
"Since mid-October, US military bases in Iraq and Syria have faced more than 70 missile and drone attacks," said.
"US forces have not faced any attacks in Iraq or Syria since the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas went into effect on November 23," Pentagon spokesman Patrick Ryder said.
He said the attacks by armed groups known as the "Islamic Opposition in Iraq" have not killed any US soldiers and all the soldiers who were slightly wounded in the attacks have returned to perform their military duties.
