Secretary-General of the Kurdistan Islamic Union, Salahuddin Muhammad Bahaauddin, participated on Thursday in the funeral ceremony for Sheikh Jalal Salih, one of the scholars and notables of the city of Halabja.

Sheikh Jalal Saleh is considered a senior sheikh and an Islamic preacher in the Kurdistan region and Halabja. He has served the Islamic awakening for many years in many Sharia chambers and Islamic institutes.

After a long struggle with illness, the venerable sheikh died yesterday, Friday, and his body was buried today, Saturday, in the presence of a large crowd of people and a number of sheikhs and notables.
