The Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRG) has asked Erdogan to review the decision to close Turkish airspace to Sulaimani Airport.
Kurdistan Regional Government Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani said on Facebook that he attended a meeting with the Turkish President and his accompanying delegation.
"I asked Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to review the decision to close Turkish airspace to Sulaymaniyah International Airport," he said.
Turkish Airlines suspended all flights to Sulaimani Airport on April 3, 2023, after the Turkish government decided not to allow any flights from Turkey to Sulaimani.
