The United States and Iraq have expressed their desire to resume oil exports from the Kurdistan Region

The White House said in a statement that the US president and Iraqi prime minister expressed their desire to resume oil exports from the Kurdistan Region.

According to international news agencies, The United States and Iraq have expressed their desire to resume oil exports from the Kurdistan Region to the Turkish port of Jeyhan.

The US President also expressed his appreciation for the role of the Kurdistan Regional Government and the Federal Iraqi Government in resolving the salary issues and providing the monthly salaries of the Kurdistan Regional Government employees.

Biden expressed his support for the consolidation of the foundations of democracy in Iraq, including the holding of free, fair, and transparent elections in the Kurdistan Region, adding that Iraqi forces and Peshmerga forces have played a decisive role in defeating ISIS, citing it as a key factor in ensuring security in Iraq.

Biden and Sudani described the Kurdistan Region as an integral part of the overall security and stability system in Iraq.
