Sudani is zeroing in on internal problems ahead of his visit to Washington.

The newspaper (Al-Sharq Al-Awsat) reported "In preparation for his expected meeting with Joe Biden at the White House next month, Sudani is trying to resolve the internal problems in Iraq, which was clearly seen during the visit of Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani.

It is also noted that "At the meeting attended by Sudani and Barzani with the state administration coalition, Abu Alai Walai, one of the leaders of the armed groups, was present and expressed his full support for Sudani's visit to Washington".

"Walai's presence at the meeting reflected the continuation of the ceasefire between the groups and US forces until after the Sudani's visit," it said.

"Sudani wants to have different outlets from his predecessors, who visited Washington with different goals and issues, in terms of resolving domestic issues, to be empty-handed to confront the Americans who bet too much on their internal conflicts," the newspaper said.
