The British ambassador to Iraq condemned the attack on the Kormor gas field, saying it is "an unacceptable attempt".

British Ambassador to Iraq Stephen Hitchens said on Saturday 27-04-2024 about the attack on the Kormor gas field in Chamchamal district, "We condemn the attack on the Kormor gas field, extend our condolences to the families of the victims and wish a speedy recovery to the injured".

"The attack is an attempt to achieve political and economic gains through the use of violence," he said.

Four Yemeni workers were killed and two others wounded in a drone attack on the Kormor gas field in Chamchamal district on Friday evening.
