A number of missiles have been fired by armed groups close to Iran at a US military base in eastern Syria.

Armed groups close to Iran fired several missiles at a US military base in the Koniko gas field in Deir Ezzor province on Saturday morning.

The US military has not issued a statement on the attack.

On November 2, the US Central Command said it had bombed 85 Revolutionary Guards and pro-Iranian armed groups in Iraq and Syria in a series of air strikes in retaliation for the deaths of three soldiers.
