A member of the Political Bureau of the Kurdistan Democratic Party says that the KDP will not participate in the upcoming parliamentary elections.

"We will not participate in the Kurdistan parliamentary elections in the current way," said Sarbast Lazgin, a member of the Kurdistan Democratic Party Political Bureau.

"The KDP's position is stable and has not changed. We have not asked the commission to extend the deadline and we will not submit our list of candidates to the commission today," he said.

The Iraqi High Election Commission set today as the deadline for submitting lists of candidates and coalitions to participate in the Kurdistan parliamentary elections.
