The US Ambassador to Iraq says she discussed the importance of holding parliamentary elections in the Kurdistan Region with the Barzanis.

US Ambassador to Iraq Alina Rumansky wrote on X "I have discussed with Massoud Barzani, Masrour Barzani and Nechirvan Barzani the importance of the Kurdistan parliamentary elections for the interests of the Kurdistan Region, Kurdish citizens and the federal Iraq."

"I encouraged the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) to work with all Kurdish parties and Baghdad to ensure fair and transparent elections soon," she said.
