The PUK Election Bureau says it is in favor of holding elections on schedule.

"The PUK is in favor of holding the Kurdistan parliamentary elections on schedule," Rizgar Haji Hama, head of the PUK's electoral bureau, told the party's media.

"They want the elections to be held within the time frame set by the president of Kurdistan region and the Iraqi High Election Commission," he said.

"We are not in favor of postponing the elections and we would like all political forces and parties in Kurdistan to participate in the elections," he said.
