Qubad Talabani said that the holding of clean and fair elections on the date set by the presidency is necessary and should not be delayed any longer.

Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, met with French Consul General Jan Brem and discussed the issue of the next session of the Kurdistan Parliament elections and how to develop the economy of the region, and several other issues.

In the meeting, Qubad Talabani stressed the need to hold clean and fair elections on the date set by the presidency of the Kurdistan Region and said the elections should not be delayed any longer.

"We will take all necessary measures to facilitate investors in the private sector, especially investment in industry, agriculture and tourism," he said.

"Without balanced development in different cities and regions, a strong economic infrastructure cannot be built and there will be no real development," he said.
