Turkish Foreign Minister: We will sign 20 agreements with Iraq

Turkish Foreign Minister said Turkey will sign 20 agreements with Iraqi officials tomorrow.

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan told a news conference after meeting with Mauritanian Foreign Minister Mohamed Salem that they plan to sign 20 agreements in various fields with the Iraqi delegation during Erdogan's visit to Iraq.

He added that the agreements have been worked on for a long time at the level of ministers, officials, and employers of both sides and during the president's visit, the "strategic framework agreement" efforts will be carried out.

He said the agreements will be in the fields of security, energy, agriculture, water, health, education, and several other areas.

He added that agreements will be signed between the two delegations after Erdoğan's meeting with Sudani.

He said they are working to institutionalize Turkey-Iraq relations so that their relations will bring lasting benefits to both sides.

Erdogan is scheduled to visit Baghdad tomorrow and meet with Iraqi President Abdul Latif Rashid and Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Sudani.
