Secretary-General of the Kurdistan Islamic Union, Salahuddin Muhammad Bahaauddin, mourned Sheikh Abdul Majeed al-Zindani, who passed away after a struggle with illness at the age of 82 years.

This came in a message of condolence and sympathy that he addressed to the distinguished relatives of the deceased and the nation’s venerable scholars.

Below is the text of the message:

In the name of God, the most gracious, the most merciful

With hearts content with God’s will and destiny; We received news of the death of Sheikh Abdul Majeed Al-Zindani.

With this painful affliction; On my own behalf and on behalf of the Kurdistan Islamic Union, I extend my sincere condolences and great sympathy to the Sheikh’s family, his students, his lovers, and to the scholars of the entire nation.

We ask the Almighty God to bless the deceased with his vast mercy and dwell him in spacious paradise, and to grant his family and all his fellow scholars patience, and solace.
