Aydin Ma'roof said that efforts are currently being made to return the last seats to the Kurdistan Parliament

Kurdistan Regional Government Minister for Components Affairs Aidan Ma'roof announced at a press conference today that Efforts are currently being made to return the seats of components to the Kurdistan Parliament after the Federal Court ruled that the seats were removed on February 21, which is a right of the components and the participation of the components is important for the democratic system Therefore, it is a political decision for political purposes.

He added that the component seats are regulated by law and its abolition by the Federal Court is against the Iraqi constitution and against the coexistence of nations.

He added that the presence of components in society and their representation in the Kurdistan Parliament is important and should be treated sensitively.
