500 Arab refugee families returned to their homes in the Kurdistan Region

In recent weeks, 500 Arab refugee families in camps in the Kurdistan Region have been returned to their homes.

The Iraqi government has decided to close the refugee camps in the Kurdistan Region by July 30 this year and the refugees to return to their cities.

"In recent days, 120 families have returned to the towns of Yasrib and Djel in Salahaddin province," a source told Al-Arabiya al-Jadid.

There are 24 refugee camps in the Kurdistan Region, with about 35,000 to 37,000 families living in the camps.
