The Iraqi military intelligence agency arrested a senior official of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIS) in Mosul.

Iraqi military intelligence agency said that based on detailed intelligence information, in coordination with the Western Nineveh Security Directorate, a heavy ambush was launched in Ayaza district, which resulted in the arrest of a member of ISIS, which the court wanted under Article 4 of terrorism.

Added that the terrorist was responsible for collecting taxes and fees from citizens, which is devoted to terrorist activities, and worked with ISIS units in Tal Afar that ambushed the security forces.

The Iraqi military intelligence agency said the suspect was handed over to the law for prosecution.
