Five members of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) commandos were killed in a drone attack on a US military base in Syria, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said: Late last night, Islamic Resistance groups attacked a US base in the Omar oil field, east of Deir Ezzor, with drone bombs.

Added that five members of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) commandos were killed and about 20 others wounded in the attack.

West Kurdistan news sources have not confirmed the report, and Iranian militias operating under the name of the Islamic Resistance have not claimed responsibility for the attack.

Since October 19, 2023, pro-Iranian militias attacked US forces 108 times, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.
