The United Nations predicts the number of elderly people to rise to more than one billion by 2025.
The United Nations released its World Social Report for 2023, calling on countries to prepare for the increase in the number of elderly people.
The number of people over the age of 65 is expected to double by 2025, the report said.
According to the United Nations, the number of elderly people in 2021 was 761 million and is expected to rise to 1.6 billion by 2025.
