The activities of the 16th session of the Erbil International Book Fair kicked off this Wednesday morning and will continue from April 17 to the 27 of this month, in cooperation between the Al Mada Foundation for Media, Culture, and Arts and the Ministry of Culture and Youth in the Kurdistan Region.

The Book Fair statement stated: “The 16th edition of the Fair bears the slogan (Read... Your intelligence is not artificial)".

The statement indicated that more than 300 publishing houses from the Kurdistan region, Iraq, and Arab and foreign countries are participating in the Fair, displaying about 1.5 million book titles in various fields of science, literature, and arts.

The Fair includes many diverse activities throughout its 11 days, including dialogue seminars, book signings, musical evenings, and artistic initiatives covering all the Fair.
