The Kurdistan Region recorded on Wednesday, 955 new cases of Coronavirus during the past 24 hours, which is the largest toll since the outbreak of the pandemic.

A statement by the Ministry of Health stated that during the past 24 hours it had conducted 5,428 tests, 955 new cases were recorded, which were distributed among:

Erbil: 240

Sulaymaniyah: 98

Garmian : 34

Raparin: 187

Dohuk: 370

Halabja: 26

The Ministry also recorded 374 recoveries, distributed as follows:

Erbil: 202

Sulaymaniyah: 30

Garmian : 29

Raparin: 66

Dohuk: 22

Halabja: 25

19 patients died due to the virus as follows :

Erbil: 3

Sulaymaniyah: 5

Garmian : 1

Raparin: 1

Dohuk: 9

Since the outbreak of the virus, 43,323 people have been infected in the Kurdistan region, 27,698 have recovered, and 1,572 others have died.
