The Iraqi parliament held a meeting for the first reading of the 2021 budget bill.

The Iraqi parliament held a meeting yesterday evening headed by Muhammad Halbousi, Speaker of Parliament. During the meeting, the first reading of the Iraqi budget bill for 2021 took place. The Parliament is expected to meet again during the coming days for the second reading of the bill.

On December 29, 2020, the Iraqi Council of Ministers sent the budget bill for 2021 to the Iraqi parliament for approval.
