Media sources in Baghdad reported, on Saturday, that the Iraqi security forces deployed heavily around the shrine of Abu Hanifa al-Numan in the Adhamiya area of Baghdad, after calls to demonstrate "against him."

The sources said, "a heavy deployment of the Iraqi army and other forces began about an hour ago around the shrine of Numan, after calls for a demonstration against it."

ِAdded: "In recent days, there were calls on social media to stage a demonstration denouncing what they called (Abu Hanifa al-Numan's killing of Imam Jaafar al-Sadiq)."

No party has yet announced its adoption of these calls, which sparked controversy in the Iraqi street.
