A member of the Foreign Relations Committee in the Iraqi parliament revealed that the Supreme Committee of Saudi Arabia and Iran met secretly four times in Baghdad.

Mukhtar al-Moussawi, a member of the Iraqi Parliament's Foreign Relations Committee, revealed in a press statement today, Monday, September 13, 2021, that the Supreme committee of Iran and Saudi Arabia, had met secretly in Baghdad four times during the past year, adding that the meetings were mediated by Iraq.

He added that Iraq played an important role in calming the situation in the region, especially in resolving the tensions between Saudi Arabia and Iran.
