New York Times: Iranian militias continue to assassinate activists in Iraq

An American newspaper revealed that armed militias linked to Iran are continuing to assassinate activists in southern Iraq's governorates.

The New York Times published in a report that the provinces of southern Iraq, especially Karbala, which is the place of visiting Shiites, became a place full of problems in Iraq, due to the presence of dozens of powerful militias supported by Iran.

Pointed out that the Iranian militias are attacking their enemies, the US military bases, the demonstrators, and the killing of activists continues in those areas.

The newspaper believes that Iran has a strong hegemony in Karbala and this province is important to Tehran.
