The Iraqi Army's Chief of Staff expresses its astonishment at the statements of the Iranian Army's Chief of Staff regarding the presence of anti-Iranian activities inside Iraqi territory.

The Chief of Staff of the Iraqi Army, during a statement issued today, September 21, 2021, announced that the bilateral relations between Iraq and the Islamic Republic of Iran are based on coordination and witnessed remarkable development on all levels, especially in terms of security and military. On this basis, we express our astonishment at the unjustified statements of the Iranian Chief of Staff, Major General Muhammad Bagheri, about the presence of anti-Iranian activities inside Iraqi territory.

Added that the Iraqi army's chief of staff refuses to use its territory to attack neighboring countries and stresses the need to preserve the language of fraternity and bilateral relations.
