Ismail Qaani, commander of the Iranian Quds Force, after meeting with the leaders of the coordination framework, visited the Hanana area in Najaf to meet Muqtada al-Sadr, the leader of the Sadrist movement.
Iraqi media revealed that the Iranian leader urged Al-Sadr to rapprochement with the coordination framework to form the new Iraqi government and demanded Al-Sadr to unite the Shiite interior.
On al-Sadr's position, the media revealed that al-Sadr's condition for agreement with the coordination framework is that Nuri al-Maliki, head of the State of Law coalition, should not participate in the new Iraqi government.
