The leaders of the Shiite coordination framework met on the issue of forming the new Iraqi government and announced that the selection of the new prime minister should be by agreement, not by a decision one party and marginalizing other parties.

At their last meeting, the Shiite coordination framework issued a statement, in which they declared that the country cannot be exposed to more problems and crises and that the citizens must be served by choosing the prime minister by agreement.

They also stressed during the statement their project to participate in the administration of the country and against the marginalization of the parties. They believe that this action affects Iraq and that they are supporting the peaceful circulation of the majority government, but the government cannot be formed only by a unilateral decision by one party.
