The leader of the Sadr Movement has attacked Barham Salih for refusing to sign the law "criminalize the normalization of relations with Israel" and described him as an unpatriotic person.

"It is shame that the so-called Iraqi President Barham Salih refuses to sign the law "criminalizing the normalization of relations with Israel," Sadr tweeted.

"It is a shame for a nation whose president is in favor of normalizing relations and is non-national and belongs to the West or the East," he said.

Sadr also acquitted himself of the crime in front of God and the Iraqi people, saying it was regrettable that he was nominated for the presidency before and now.
