The governor of Sulaimani province says the cholera disease has been controlled and calls on the Iraqi government to help them in solving the drought and providing services.

According to a statement issued by the governorate of Sulaimani, Haval Abubakr governor of Sulaimani, with the presence of Dr. Rahel Freedon, Deputy Minister of Health; received Ahmad Abubakr, President of the World Health Organization in Iraq; Dr. Wael Hatahit, Head of the Emergency Team in Iraq; Dr. Najmaddin Hassan, WHO Representative in Sulaimani.

The delegation thanked the governor, the director of the health office, the director of the water protection office, the local government of Sulaimani, and the high committee to fight cholera for their efforts to limit and control the cholera disease.

It is worth mentioning that the governor instructed the representative of the World Health Organization to convey a message from Sulaimani province to the federal government to support the Kurdistan Regional Government and Sulaimani province in solving drought and providing service projects.
