Coordination framework: Federal court decisions must be respected

The Coordination Framework said: "We respect the Federal Court and its president," he said.

The Coordination Framework, which includes the Shiite parties that make up the Iraqi government, issued a statement on the Federal Court and its decisions, saying that they respect the Federal Supreme Court and its President, Jassim Omari, and respect its decisions.

"To maintain the constitutional balance in making decisions and implementation and monitoring mechanisms, we emphasize the importance of adhering to the principle of separation of powers and not extending any power over others," it said.

The statement of the coordination framework comes after the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) has repeatedly said that the decisions of the Federal Court are political and it will not comply with them, and they will not even participate in the Kurdistan parliamentary elections, which its policy formulated by the Federal Court and the court is unconstitutional in its current form,

But the KDP president after a meeting with the US ambassador, said yesterday that the KDP has not boycotted the elections, but is in favor of clean elections free from foreign interference.

Meanwhile, the Iraqi Federal Supreme Court said yesterday that it has faced attacks from domestic and foreign media because of its decisions, calling the attacks political, adding, "Legal action must be taken against them".
