An Iraqi delegation has arrived in Ankara to discuss the "Development Road" project

An Iraqi delegation led by Prime Minister's Advisor on Transportation Nasser al-Assadi arrived in Ankara.

Iraqi Prime Minister's Advisor on Transportation Nasser al-Asadi arrived in Ankara accompanied by Iraqi Railways Director General Younis Khalid and Development Road Project Director Safa Jabbar Nasser, the Iraqi Embassy in Ankara said in a statement.

He said the Iraqi delegation will meet with Turkish officials to follow up on the implementation of the "Development Road" project and take measures and agreements to start the implementation of the project.

He said the Iraqi delegation's meetings with Turkish officials complement the recent meetings between the two sides in Baghdad and Ankara to discuss the latest developments and stages of work on the implementation of the "Development Road" project.

The "Development Road" includes land and railways that connect the port of Faw in the Gulf of Basra in southern Iraq to Turkey and then Europe.
