Iraqi Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Naim Aboudi and Director of the Russian Atomic Energy Agency Alexei Likhachev discussed the prospects of cooperation between the two countries in the development of peaceful use of nuclear energy.

Naeem Aboudi said on his social networking site X: "We had an important meeting with the Russian Atomic Energy Agency, and the director of the agency, Alexei Likhachev."

"We discussed cooperation between the two countries for the peaceful use of nuclear energy," he said.

“During the meeting, we thanked the Russian government for providing scholarships for our students.
